Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all of Bannister Web Designs projects.

 

Prices and Quotations

1. All prices quoted are valid for one month from the date quoted in the quotation or proposal but are subject to change at the discretion of Bannister Web Design.
2. Bannister Web Design has the right to change hourly rates without notice but will inform existing clients before proceeding with any additional work outside of any agreed quotations or proposals.

Payment Schedules and Invoices

1. Payments are scheduled in 2 stages.
2. 50% of the total project cost is required before Bannister Web Design proceeds with build work.
3. Once the initial payment has been received, both Bannister Web Design and the client are under contract to complete the work within a reasonable timescale.
4. Bannister Web Design reserves the right to refrain from starting any agreed work until the requested deposit has been received and the funds cleared in the bank.
5. Once the agreed work is completed and the site is live - even if for any reason the site is not requested to go live within one week from completion of the agreed work - the remainder of the payment will be due within the agreed time as specified on the final invoice, unless otherwise agreed (usually within 30 days).

Client Delays and Unpaid Invoices

1. If Bannister Web Design is kept waiting for over 8 weeks without receiving any content in order to proceed with or complete any agreed work, then Bannister Web Design reserves the right to charge for the remaining payment or at least part of the remaining payment at their discretion, unless otherwise agreed.
2. Any changes needed to the website resulting from a long delay in providing content may be charged at additional costs at the discretion of Bannister Web Design.
3. If the final invoice for the remaining payment is not paid within the agreed time then Bannister Web Design reserves the right to charge a minimum of 1% interest for each day the payment is overdue, or at Bannister Web Design's discretion.
4. In extreme circumstances, Bannister Web Design reserves the right to take the site offline if the final invoice for the remaining payment is not paid within the agreed time, and may only put the site live again once the payment is received and the funds cleared in their bank, unless otherwise agreed.

Timescales and Deadlines

1. Bannister Web Design aims to complete all agreed work within a reasonable timescale as agreed. Clients will be informed if for any reason there are any delays in completing the work and given regular updates on the site progress.

 

Subcontracted Work

1. Bannister Web Design subcontracts work to their associate copy writer, Gemma Stead. The client is informed and in some cases the client may be asked to work with associates directly for such work.

 

Key Features

1. Search engine optimisation (SEO) refers to keywords, descriptions, page titles, alt and title tags and image optimisation.
2. Hosting and available domain names are FREE for the first year only.
3. High quality images will be bought from reputable stock galleries.
4. Email addresses is limited to 1000 email addresses per client. (Professional Package only).
5. Cross browser testing will be performed on Internet explorer 7,8,9 and current versions of Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, iPhone and iPad. (Mac/PC where available).

Hosting

1. Bannister Web Design hosts websites and domains through Bannister Web Design Hosting. The client will be notified if a new hosting company is used.
2. A suitable hosting package is chosen for the clients project. The client will be informed of the annual cost after the first FREE year.
3. An available domain name will be recommended to the client. The client will be informed of the annual cost after the first FREE year.
4. Failure or late payment for domain name and hosting renewal will result in disruption to the live service.
